100 PARTICIPANTS AT HEALTH FAIR RECEIVE FREE RETINA SCAN !
Dr. Notaro Rietz provided free retina scans for participants at the Jim Hayes Family Health Fair on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Amherst Senior Center. 100 people had the opportunity to have the "back of their eye" (retina) checked. "We were happy to be part of such a well run event that reaches so many in our community," said Dr. Notaro Rietz. "Our unique scanning equipment allows for rapid detection of many disease states, including Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Retinopathy, two common sight threatening conditions."

Dr. Notaro Rietz has been named one of "America's Top Ophthalmologists" for 2011 by the Consumers' Research Council of America and is included in their "Guide to America's Top Ophthalmologists".

May 20, 2011 Let's Talk About "The Aging Eye"
Dr. Notaro Rietz will speak at the Amherst Senior Center on Friday, May 20, 2011. The topic is "The Aging Eye" and will cover Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy, and Retinal Detachment among other vision threatening conditions. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and take with you a variety of important information to safeguard your vision.
DANCE CHAMPIONS!!!! -- Dr. Notaro Rietz and her husband competed in their first international dance competition. The Falls View Ball was held January 25-26. 2011 in Ontario , Canada. The doctor and her husband won first place medals in each dance they entered together, including hustle, two-step, cha-cha and tango.
